I'm doing okay. They can't get rid of me that easily. I dropped you an e-mail. Let me know if you get it.

Hey Slim,

We do have one new CD we finished this year and its a dandy. You might very well say this CD project is a family affair with Dana (my wife) doing all the art work and design of our liner notes and all three of our kids being a guest artist on one song each. In addition our oldest son Jimmy did all the recording and mixing. Needless to say I am one proud papa.

Here are a couple photos that show you the front and back cover of the CD.

Front cover of the CD

Back cover of the CD

Would love to get together sometime and pick a few tunes with you.

Best wishes!

Slim,

Where did you fish the Moke? I have done fairly well lately, best was 7 Rainbows and 5 Browns, one 14" and lost 5 more in 1 hour and 10 minutes. Unfortunately we left fish to go find bigger fish and did not have any great success...

Beautiful pictures too by the way. Maybe I will head up there on Sunday and take some of my own. I have been meaning to for some time now.

Cooks Station makes awesome biscuits and gravy as well for anyone wanting to stop on the way up the hill... Nice people running the place as well.

If you come over this way again, send me an email. I live in Pioneer. You know, that last little bit of civilization heading up Highway 88 before you get to Kirkwood...

1. I fished just above hwy 49 but the wife was in the car and there were intresting people driving pass that made us uncomfortable. So I bailed out for the safety of the wife and went home.

2.When I stopped at that shack, within 1/2 hr, 12 to 15 other people also stopped there with their cameras. We all had the same idea. It seems that is a very poplar place to stop.

It's intresting to read about the fish rescue at Caples and yet I also had read a fishing report from that Saturday of someone doing well at catching, up to 30" !!!

There have been some issues with break ins at the powerhouse up at the end of that road. Were there any signs of copper wire sticking out of the bed of the pickup???

That stretch gets hit pretty hard down there and I have only fished it a couple of times. I have had my hat handed to me there before. One time I hooked a 19" Rainbow on a hopper, that was fun until he broke me off... The best trip there that I can recall was an 8 fish day. I have done better upstream by West Point or Tiger Creek Afterbay and down below Camanche Dam. Maybe we can hook up and I can point out some better spots.

I would think that section of river, below Electra and above Highway 49, would hold a lot of fish, but according to DFG surveys it does not. The Sac-Sierra Chapter of TU received an Embrace-A-Stream Grant to try to improve the fishery habitat, but it appears that BLM shot the plan in the butt and they have to look elsewhere on the river for a place to improve. The plan had called for placing, and anchoring to bedrock, large woody debris (root wads) and logs in that section of the river to improve stream habitat. From what I have heard the BLM does not want the liability of someone being stuck under a log and drowning while swimming or paddling... I'll post more back when I hear about it.

Considering where I fish, plus my "expertise", not too shabby. If I can get one a week I'm happy.
There are other spots, but I'd have to drive thru Honolulu traffic to get there. Not happening too often.
